Margarita
Margarita
I must confess. The Margarita was never one of my favorite cocktails. Untill I made the cocktail myself. Let’s just keep it at, there are a lot of different Margarita’s. I even appreciate the salty rim on the glass.

Additional tip: Mexican tortilla salts!

What do you need for a Margarita?

Tequila (1 part)
Triple sec (1 part)
Lime (fresh juice of 1,5 limes)
Sugar syrup (1 part)
Salty garnish

1 part = 30 ml

How do you make a Margarita?

Use a special Margarita glass. Start with the salty rim. You can only do this in the beginning. Use a lime to make it sticky and then put the glass upside down into the salt. After you did this you fill up te shaker with ice. Add the limejuice of 1,5 limes to the shaker. Add the tequila, cointreau and sugar syrup to the shaker. Give it a good shake. Pour it into the glass trough a strainer. Gernish the glass with a slice of lime.

Tequila Ritual

Those familiar with the tequila ritual, will know alle the ingredients of the Margarita. There is frankly little difference, only you can drink the margarita drink in your own pace. Cointreau and sugar syrup soften the taste of the tequila compared to the tequila shot with lemon and salt. Salud!
